About Me
John Everatt, PhD, is a Professor of Education in the Faculty of Education, University of Canterbury, New Zealand. He received a PhD from the University of Nottingham UK, and lectures on education and psychology programmes. His research focuses on supporting struggling learners, primarily those with literacy learning difficulties/dyslexia, and includes looking at how literacy problems relate to aspects of language, behavior and emotion. This research has been conducted in a range of languages/orthographies around the world, including in multilingual contexts, and from the perspective of different types of educational organisations, school systems and learning environments.
